Kosciusko to remain 4A after MHSAA reclassification

Kosciusko will remain in 4A under Mississippi High School Activities Association reclassification for the two school years beginning in 2023, but with mostly new region opponents.

McAdams, Ethel and French camp will remain in 1A.

Central Holmes to play in Benton Tournament

The Central Holmes girls basketball team tipped off the regular season last week but struggled to find a win.

Central Holmes lost three games as they lost to 46-25 to Washington, 37-26 to Lee and 50-34 to Delta.

Bulldogs next game scheduled for Nov. 12

The McAdams Lady Bulldogs opened the basketball season with losses against two teams from larger classifications.

In the first game, McAdams was defeated by 4A Louisville 47-16. “The girls were a little nervous,” said coach Ashley Brown. “It's back to the drawing board.”

Stars’ hoops season begins

The Winona Christian Lady Stars got off to an impressive start to the season last week at the Indianola Tournament.

The Lady Stars opened the season with a 52-20 win over Lee Academy on Tuesday and then beat Lee, Ark., 50-33 on Thursday.
