Kosciusko junior second baseman Kelly Hood will represent the Lady Whippets at the May 29-30 Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star fast-pitch softball game at Jones College.

A premature end to a sports season is difficult for the athletes, and that is especially true when it is shaping up as a season to remember. Such is the case for powerlifting at McAdams. The girls and boys teams were both enjoying banner seasons that might be over.

Over Spring Break the Ethel baseball team went down to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and participated in the Battle at the Beach. The Tigers went 3-1 in the event beating Corinth, New Albany and Resurrection, while losing to Washington School.

The Kosciusko (6-5) baseball team went 1-3 in play during spring break last week.

The Whippets began the week with a 6-1 win against Choctaw County on Monday. Matthew Allen swatted a team-high two hits to lead Kosciusko offense. Walker Hill and Lucas Price also recorded hits.

Last week resulted in a trio of wins for the Kosciusko Lady Whippets’ softball team.

Kosciusko recorded wins against Choctaw County, French Camp and Ethel to improve to 5-2 on the season.
