Kosciusko maintained its perfect record on the 2018 fast-pitch softball season by knocking off a pair of visiting foes in spring break tournament action last Monday.

The Lady Whippets got a no-hitter in a 13-0 win over Nanih Waiya, then banged out 11 base hits in an 8-3 win over Lake.

Rimmer heads to state powerlifting meet

Kosciusko junior Mike Rimmer is headed to the Mississippi High School Activities Association State Powerlifting Meet after finishing as the MHSAA Class 4A North State runner-up in the super-heavyweight division.

Rimmer placed second in his division with a total of 1,050 pounds., in the North State meet earlier this month at Pontotoc.
