Lady Stars continue to win

The Winona Christian Lady Stars rolled to two more convincing wins last week as they stayed unbeaten on the season. The Lady Stars took an easy 66-14 win on Tuesday over Columbus Christian and then beat Lee, Ark., 64-24 on Thursday behind a 32-point effort from Bella Roberts.

Tigers end season with win

Two teams with nothing to play for except for pride and off-season momentum showed their fans that the future is bright for both squads.

Ethel used a time-consuming rushing attack and held off a late charge by Noxapater to take a 34-28 win.

Ethel finished the season with a 6-5 record on the season.

Trojans to travel to Greenville Christian

The passing game has been a thorn in the side of the Central Holmes defense all season long.

But the Trojans limited pass-happy Amite to just one score as Central Holmes took a 35-6 win over the Rebels in the second round of the Class 3A playoffs.

Stars’ season comes to a close in 2nd round of playoffs

Winona Christian saw its football season come to an end last week.

The Stars again struggled on defense as they gave up a season-high in points and dropped a 52-26 to Centrevile on Friday night in the second round of the Class 3A playoffs.

Winona Christian finishes the season with a 4-7 record.
