Lady Trojans have successful week on court

The Central Holmes Lady Trojans had a good week on the basketball court.

The Lady Trojans beat Benton 57-36, Columbus Christian 52-28 and Deer Creek 61-17 to go undefeated on the week.

The Trojans won two out of three contests as they beat Benton 67-32 and Deer Creek 40-38. They lost 55-46 to Columbus Christian.

McAdams football coach Jim Risen got the start he wanted out of his Bulldogs against top-ranked Hollandale Simmons on Friday night.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 6-0 lead, but that was the height of the excitement as Simmons scored 52 unanswered points to take a 52-6 win on Friday night in the regular-season finale for both teams.
