Stars prepare for Canton

Winona Christian football coach Ken Chandler went into last Friday’s game with North Delta thinking his team had a chance at another win.

For a half, it looked like Chandler was thinking right. But the Green Wave got rolling with 28 second-half points to pull away and take a 34-20 win over the Stars.

Tigers play hard, lose 56-42 to Sebastopol

Sebastopol and Ethel were supposed to play a football game on Friday night.

It looked more like a track meet as the two teams combined for nearly 1,000 yards of total offense and 98 points but it was the Bobcats who won the race with a 56-42 win over the Tigers.
