KSH improves to 6-2

The Kosciusko Whippets moved to 6-2 on the year and 1-1 in Region 4 play with an 8-3 home win over West Lauderdale last Tuesday night and a 3-1 home win over West Point on Thursday night. The Whippets’ loss came on the return visit to West Lauderdale, where they fell 2-1 in a pitchers duel.

Two shot during homecoming party altercation in Kosciusko

Two black males sustained gunshot wounds overnight in Kosciusko.
According to Mayor Tim Kyle, the incident occurred during a homecoming party at or near the Bobcat facility on Tipton Street. A fight broke out just after 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Tipton and East South streets, leading to the gunfire and injuries, he said.
