Natchez Trace Festival: Amy Rawson serves as festival chairman

With the 2018 Natchez Trace Festival, Amy Rawson is completing her second year serving as chairman of the annual event.
However, she will not be completing her involvement with the festival. “I will continue to support it and help in its promotion,” she said.

MHSAA releases region realignment

The new MHSAA reclassifications were recently released for fall sports and it will be effective for the 2017-19 school years and there have been several changes for area schools. Three new reports of Zika in state

Three new cases of the Zika virus has been reported in Mississippi.
Monday, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reports the new cases bringing the 2016 total to eight. The cases were in residents from Chickasaw, Hinds and Rankin counties who recently traveled to St. Thomas, Nicaragua and Guatemala.
