Two Kosciusko seniors signed scholarships last Wednesday, the first day of the February signing period, to continue playing football at the next level.

Bobo Miller signed as a preferred walk on with the University of Mississippi. Offensive lineman Paul Wood signed with Holmes Community College.

Tigers finish second in Region 5-1A

The Ethel boys would split their region games last week beating McAdams and falling to West Lowndes, while the Ethel girls would lose both games.

This week the Tigers (8-12) and Lady Tigers (9-14) will compete in the Region 5-1A division tournament being held at McAdams.

Panthers, Lady Panthers need one win to reach state tourney

The French Camp boys and girls basketball teams began play in the Region 5-1A tournament Tuesday at McAdams.

The Panthers are the third seed in the six-team region and opened against sixth-seed Noxapater. The fourth-seeded Lady Panthers played fifth seeded Nanih Waiya.

Bulldog wrestlers claim the Region 3-1A title

McAdams dominated the boys Region 3-1A powerlifting meet last Saturday winning seven of the 11 weight classes.

McAdams, which hosted the meet, finished with 68 points to 39 for runner-up Leake County. Ethel was third with 34 points and one individual winner. Noxapater had 18 and Nanih Waiya 8.
