Eight of 10 football foes for Whippets made 2019 MHSAA Playoffs

The 2020 Kosciusko football schedule has 10 games, including the Whippets' five Region 4-4A opponents, and possibly a jamboree game, in Casey Orr's first year as coach.

The opener against Yazoo County on Aug. 20 is a Thursday night. All other games are Friday evening. The last five are 4-4A games.

Bulldog football, powerlifting award winners announced

Jalen Perteet is the recipient of the Bulldog Award for the 2019 McAdams football team. Coach Kenneth Nelson said the Bulldogs Award is essentially an MVP.

The Bulldog Award was one of seven announced by Nelson for football. Powerlifting is the only other McAdams sport to announce award recipients for the 2019-20 school year..

Tentative fall dates set for area MHSAA/MAIS schools
