Tigers will open MHSAA 1A playoffs at Sebastopol

The Ethel football team lost out in its game with Pisgah last week and in McAdams’ game with Coffeeville.
The Tigers were defeated by Pisgah 54-34 in a game added to the schedule to fill a void.
McAdams' 6-0 loss to Coffeeville resulted in Ethel having to go on the road in the opening round of the 1A payoffs Nov. 13.

Lady Panthers pick up classic game win

The French Camp girls basketball team defeated Vardaman 38-30 in a classic game last week.
“We played like we would play in the first game, We played nervous,” said coach Polly LeVert. “We had a ton of turnovers.”
Jasmine Bonty led the Lady Panthers with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Jordan Carter scored 11 points.

Kosciusko boys, girls runners qualify for Class 4A State meet

The Kosciusko boys and girls cross country teams have qualified for the Mississippi High School Activities Association 4A cross country meet. The race will be held Monday at the Choctaw Trails course in Jackson.

Kosy’s Greenleaf chosen to coach all-stars

Kosciusko boys basketball coach Eleazarus Greenleaf has been chosen as one of the coaches for the North/South all star games. Greenleaf and Kelvin Carter of Vicksburg will be the North coaches for the 4A/5A/6A boys game.
“It's an honor,” Greenleaf said. “I'm grateful to be selected.”
