The McAdams Bulldogs dropped one of two games last week to move their season record to 10-10 overall and 5-1 in Region 5-1A play. The Bulldogs dropped last Tuesday night’s region matchup with Montgomery County 53-51 but rebounded nicely to crush the French Camp Panthers 86-39 on Friday night.
In last Tuesday’s contest the Bulldogs fell behind early by a score of 9-6 after one quarter of play and trailed 22-13 at the half. The homestanding Hornets took very little mercy on the visiting Bulldogs in the third quarter and increased their lead to 39-22 to start the fourth. A 29-point fourth quarter outburst would not be enough and the Bulldogs lost the contest 53-51.
The leaders for the Bulldogs were Javonte Teague with seven points and eight rebounds; T’Caivan Bolton with 18 points and one rebound; Corte Dotson with 11 points, five boards and one assist and Querrion Gadson with eight points, four boards, three assists and one steal.
The Bulldogs bounced back in a big way on Friday night against French Camp and led 30-13 right out the gate. The Bulldogs took a 40-19 lead into the half and scored 56 second half points, cruising to an 86-39 win over the Panthers.
The leaders for the Bulldogs were Ricky Webster with six points, three boards and two steals; Charles Kilbert with nine points, three rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals; Teague with 16 points and one board; Bolton with seven points, five boards, one assist and five steals and Gadson with four rebounds and two steals.
The Bulldogs traveled to Ethel on Tuesday night and will host Durant on Friday at 6 p.m.
