The McAdams Lady Bulldogs won twice last week in Region 5-1A play by defeating Montgomery County 59-14 and French Camp 57-26. The two wins moved the Lady Bulldogs overall record to 16-5 and 5-1 in region play.
In last Tuesday night’s contest with the Lady Hornets of Montgomery County, the Lady Bulldogs took a 26-0 lead after one quarter of play. The Lady Hornets got on the board in the second quarter, but trailed the Lady Bulldogs 38-7 at the half. The Lady Bulldogs cruised in the second half to take the 59-14 win.
The leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Aaliyah Lusk with 12 points, two rebounds, one assist and 10 steals; Seneca Evans with nine points, 11 boards and one steal; Ke’Mara Atterberry with 13 points, six boards, three assists and two steals and Zykeria Lewis with seven points, eight rebounds, two assists and four steals.
On Friday night the Lady Bulldogs traveled to French Camp and took a 20-8 first quarter lead. McAdams would lead 34-12 at the half and easily won the region tilt 57-26. The leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Atterberry with 12 points, eight boards, one assist and four steals; Jakyra Young with 30 points, 12 boards, two assists and five steals; Miracle Phillips with six points, two rebounds and two steals and Kneisha Irving with 10 rebounds, two assists and three steals.
The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Ethel on Tuesday night and will host Durant on Friday at 6 p.m.
