The McAdams Lady Bulldogs moved to 8-2 on the year with wins over Montgomery County and MHSAA Class 4A Noxubee County last week.
In last Tuesday night’s contest with the Montgomery County Lady Hornets, the Lady Bulldogs took a resounding 44-12 lead into the half. McAdams cruised in the second half, crushing Montgomery County 71-18.
The leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Jakyra Young with 18 points, three rebounds and eight steals; Miracle Phillips with 12 points, three assists and eight steals; Zykeria Lewis with 11 points and five rebounds and Seneca Evans with 10 points and one board. Freshman Haley Perteet pulled down six rebounds while junior Kneisha Irving grabbed nine.
In last Thursday night’s tilt with the MHSAA Class 4A Noxubee County Lady Tigers the Lady Bulldogs fell behind 33-30 going into the half. McAdams outscored Noxubee County 25-16 in the second half to take a 55-49 win and picked up its eighth win of the year in the process.
The leaders on the floor for McAdams were Kiara Brown with 13 points, nine rebounds and two steals; Ke’Mara Atterberry with 12 points, five rebounds, one assist and two steals; Lewis with nine points, 10 rebounds, one assist and two steals and Young with 11 points, five boards, three assists and one steal.
The Lady Bulldogs played Pelahatchie on the road on Tuesday night and will host the McAdams Christmas Tournament December 21-23. The Lady Bulldogs will resume play on January 10 on the road against Durant to begin Region 5-1A play.
