The McAdams Bulldogs played .500 ball last week to move their overall record to 4-5 after defeating Montgomery County last Tuesday night and falling to MHSAA Class 4A Noxubee County on Thursday night.
Against the Montgomery County Hornets the Bulldogs took a 26-23 lead into the half and poured on more of the same in the second half to take a 63-52 win.
The leaders for the Bulldogs were Javonte Teague with 20 points, seven rebounds and two steals; Querrion Gadson with 17 points, six rebounds, six assists and six steals; Corte Dotson with 13 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals; T’Caivan Bolton with 10 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals and Charles Kilbert with seven boards and two steals.
In Thursday night’s matchup with Class 4A Noxubee County, the host Tigers took an eight-point lead into the half and won the contest 69-61. The leaders for the Bulldogs were Teague with 30 points and four rebounds; Bolton with nine points, one board and a steal; Dotson with nine points, three boards, one assist and three steals; Gadson with seven points, one rebound and five assists and Kilbert with six points, two assists and one steal.
The Bulldogs played Pelahatchie on the road on Tuesday night and will host the McAdams Christmas Tournament December 21-23. The Lady Bulldogs will resume play on January 10 on the road against Durant to begin Region 5-1A play.
