The McAdams Lady Bulldogs saw their 2015-16 season come to an end in the MHSAA Class 1A Semifinals to Vardaman after posting a 16-11 overall record and a 6-2 Region 5-1A record. Lady Bulldog head coach Michael Huffman wants his team to make it back to the Coliseum again and finish what they started.
“We have to take it step by step first though,” he said. “We have a veteran team but we have some youngsters that we are going to need to fill some rolls. Defensively is where we need to play our best and that is the reason we have been successful over the last three years. Hopefully we can get some offense along the way, but if we can play defense we will be O.K.”
The Lady Bulldogs will be led by junior guard Ke’Mara Atterberry, senior guard Miracle Phillips, senior center Zykera Lewis and forward Senecae Evans.
“I’m looking for big things from my seniors this year,” concluded Huffman. “Hopefully they can continue the tradition of what we do.”
