The McAdams Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs played two out-of-region contests last week with the Bulldogs splitting games between Holmes Central and Coldwater while the Lady Bulldogs swept both. The Bulldogs are now 12-12 overall and 6-2 in Region 5-1A play while the Lady Bulldogs improved to 20-5 overall and 7-1 in region play.
In last Tuesday night’s contest at Holmes Central the Bulldogs fell 56-48 while the Lady Bulldogs won 52-28. The leaders for the Bulldogs were Javonte Teague with 16 points, two boards and one steal; Corte Dotson with six points, six rebounds and four steals; Charles Kilbert with nine points, two boards and two steals; Querrion Gadson with five points, seven boards, four assists and two steals and T’Caivan Bolton with five points and one steal. The leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Ke’Mara Atterberry with 14 points, one board, two assists and two steals; Jakyra Young with 15 points, 12 boards, four assists and eight steals and Seneca Evans with six points, 13 boards and three steals.
Both the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs swept Coldwater on Friday night by scores of 74-44 and 61-22 respectively. The leaders for the Bulldogs were Kilbert with 20 points, two boards, one assist and three steals; Teague with 17 points, five boards, one assist and one steal; Bolton with seven points, three boards, two assists and two steals and John Bayne with eight points, three boards, one assist and three steals. The leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Santija Rockett with six points, three rebounds and one assist; Kiara Brown with seven points, six rebounds and two assists; Miracle Phillips with 15 points, one board, four assists and five steals and Kneisha Erving with 14 points and six rebounds.
The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs began Region 5-1A Tourney play on Tuesday and games will continue on Thursday.
