WHAT'S AT STAKE
Kosciusko looks to avoid its worst start since 2011 after dropping three of its first four games, only one of which was more than a one-score spread. It will be homecoming for the Whippets, a game in which they lost to Forest last season. Itawamba is off to its best start since 2012, where they went 12-1.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Itawamba: QB Ausin King. The 6-foot-5, 190-pound senior is the spark behind the Indians pass-happy spread offense. King has thrown for 936 yards with a 63.7 completion percentage with eight touchdowns and only one interception. He is also second on the team in rushing with 228 yards and two scores.
WR Caleb Whittle. The 6-foot senior is the main target for King with 17 receptions for 446 yards and four scores.
LB Jamal Shumpert. The junior linebacker leads the Indian defense with 12.8 tackles per game along with
Kosciusko: RB Kadarius Banks. The Whippets will need a big performance from their junior running back that is averaging 92 rushing yards per game, along with 26 receiving yards per game.
ATH: Stefon Harmon. The senior speedster lines up at multiple positions, with 139 rushing and 86 yards receiving with two touchdowns.
LB Clint Williams. The junior is averaging 11.7 tackles per game with six tackles for a loss.
