The McAdams Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs both played French Camp on Friday, Durant on Saturday and Montgomery County this past Monday with both teams winning twice and losing once. The Bulldogs (6-13) defeated French Camp 60-30 on Friday night, Durant 73-68 on Saturday before falling 62-44 to Montgomery County on Monday night. The Lady Bulldogs (13-6) crushed French Camp 79-39 on Friday, fell to Durant 58-50 on Saturday before rebounding nicely on Monday night with a 71-51 thrashing of Montgomery County on Monday night.
In the Bulldogs win over French Camp on Friday night, McAdams took an early 6-5 first quarter lead before opening it up in the second quarter to take a 31-12 lead into the half. The Bulldogs once again outscored the Panthers 29-18 in the second half to take the 60-30 win.
On Saturday in Durant, the Bulldogs jumped on the Tigers for a quick 23-14 lead after one quarter of play. Durant came roaring back in the second quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 24-13 to take a 38-36 lead into the half. The Tigers increased their lead to 51-48 after three quarters of play before the Bulldogs went on an offensive surge in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Tigers 25-17 to take the 73-68 win.
The Bulldogs took their thirteenth loss of the season on Monday night at the hand of Montgomery County. The Hornets jumped on the Bulldogs early and led 16-7 after one quarter of play. The Bulldogs put up 14 second quarter points while the Hornets scored 13, but still found themselves in a 29-21 hole at the half. The Hornets outscored the Bulldogs 33-23 in the second half to take the 62-44 win.
The Lady Bulldogs got off to a hot start against French Camp on Friday night, taking a 32-4 lead after one quarter of play. McAdams took a 50-21 lead into the half and outscored the Lady Panthers 14-7 in the third quarter and 15-11 in the final stanza to take the 79-39 win. The leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Santisja Rockett with seven points, six rebounds and one steal; Aaliyah Lusk with five points, two rebounds, two assists and three steals; Ke’Mara Atterberry with 18 points, seven rebounds, three assists and five steals; Jakyra Young with 18 points, two rebounds and three assists; Kiara Brown with six points, three rebounds and two steals and Cavian Bolton with 11 points, three rebounds and seven steals.
There were no stats available for the Lady Bulldogs’ 58-50 loss to Durant on Saturday, but McAdams did rebound on Monday night against the Montgomery County Lady Hornets. The Lady Bulldogs took a 22-12 lead after one quarter of play and would lead 39-26 at the intermission.
McAdams came out of the half on fire, outscoring the Lady Hornets 21-12 in the third quarter helping them to cruise to a 71-51 win. The leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Atterberry with 17 points, six rebounds, three assists and six steals; Young with 19 points, four rebounds, five assists and four steals; Kneisha Erving with 17 points, 13 rebounds, an assist and two steals; Moleyia Harmon with four points and three rebounds; Kiara Brown with seven points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals and Bolton with three points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal.
