Ethel got in just one baseball contest before the Easter break, but the Tigers made it a big one.
Ethel scored four times in the top of the first inning and never looked back, whipping homestanding Noxapater 15-1 in a division game last Tuesday.
Ethel, which improved to 11-5 on the season, was scheduled to take on Noxapater in a make-up game Monday, then face Nanih Waiya in another division tilt Tuesday this week. The Tigers are set to visit the defending Class 1A state champion NW Warriors Friday before going to Scott Central Saturday.
Next week, Ethel is scheduled to go to French Camp Academy on Tuesday (April 10) and host FCA on Thursday (April 12).
Last Tuesday, the Tigers scored four times in the first inning, once in the second and six times in the third to build a commanding 11-0 lead.
Brady Odom did not need all those runs, as he allowed no earned runs on one hit and two walks to earn the rout-shortened win. He struck out 12 in five innings.
Odom also singled, doubled, scored twice and drove in three runs and Hayden Graves singled twice and drove in two runs to lead the offensive attack.
Alex Schuster doubled, scored three times, drove in three runs and had a couple of stolen bases for the Tigers, while Hayden Beall singled, drove in three runs and scored once.
Tanner Reeves singled, scored three times and drove in a run; Blake Wilkinson singled, drove in a pair of runs and scored; Cyrus Rone scored three times; Tyler Weaver scored once.
