Ethel forced a decisive Game 3 with Stringer in the second round of the MHSAA Class 1A Baseball Playoffs, before dropping the road game by the score of 5-1 on Monday night.
The win in Game 2 of the series gave veteran Ethel head baseball coach Chris Schuster his 300th career win with the Tigers.
In Game 1 Tyler Weaver, Tanner Reeves and Hayden Graves had two hits each for the Tigers, but the Red Devils scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to claim the 6-3 win. Reeves Threadgill took the loss on the mound.
In Ethel's 7-3 Game 2 win, Weaver and Graves had two hits each to lead the Tigers past the Red Devils and force the decisive Game 3. Weaver and Reeves had two RBIs each. Alex Schuster got the win on the mound for Ethel.
