McAdams’ two-game winning streak came to an end with a 40-14 loss to Leflore County.
“I wasn't pleased with anything,” said coach Kenneth Nelson. “We stopped the run like I wanted us to and forced them to pass. We just didn't do a very good job stopping the pass. And we didn't do a good job offensively doing what we do, which is running the football.”
Both McAdams touchdowns came on passes from Johnatvis Rimmer to Deon Wilkins and Jalen Perteet.
Nelson said positives were Percy Lewis as a two-way lineman and Tydarrus Williams returning kickoffs and punts. “He (Williams) did a good job keeping us in pretty good field position.”
The loss dropped McAdams to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in Region 4-1A. The Bulldogs will be Homecoming guests at Shaw Friday in a region game.
“They're fast. They like to keep everything in front of them on defense,” Nelson said, adding “It's a game that we can win.”
Shaw is 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the region coming off a 32-16 win over West Bolivar. Two weeks ago the Hawks were defeated by Leflore County 12-6.
