The McAdams boys team was well represented on the Region 5-1A basketball team that was recently selected by the coaches.
McAdams’ Querrion Gadson was named the Most Valuable Player of the Region after leading the Bulldogs to a 15-12 record and the 5-1A Tournament title after a 73-70 win over Coffeeville in the tournament finals. The Bulldogs ended their season with a 71-54 loss to West Lowndes.
McAdams coach Carl Hathorn was named the Coach of the year.
Also being recognized from McAdams was T’Caivan Bolton who won the Sportsmanship Award while John Bayne was named the Defensive Player of the Year. Coffeeville’s Jadarrius Kincaide was named the Offensive Player of the Year.
Members of the all-region team from McAdams were Bolton, Bayne, Gadson and Corte Dotson.
Making the team from Ethel was Daquannay Dotson and D’Ayres Merritt while Clayton Leathers made the team from French Camp
Making the team from Coffeeville was Jadarrius Kincaide, Talon Phillips and Lateyvien Torrance.
