McAdams has played one of the toughest schedules in Class 1A basketball.
That schedule is starting to play dividends. The Lady Bulldogs hammered division foe Coffeeville 60-25 on Friday night after beating Eupora 57-38 on Tuesday night.
McAdams improves to 6-6 on the year and coach Michael Huffman said the Lady Bulldogs seem to be coming together at the right time.
“We have played a really tough schedule,” Huffman said. “We lost a good many players from last year and I wanted to make the schedule challenging. You can load it up with weaker teams and build some wins but what do you get out of that? I think we have one of the best schedules in Class 1A. I’ve been telling the girls that it was going to pay off and I think they saw that on Friday night. I was really proud of them, they have worked hard.”
McAdams will return to play this week as it was set to host Eupora on Tuesday. Then on Thursday, they will host Leake County in the McAdams Christmas Tournament and then will host Leake Central on Friday to finish out the calendar year. Their first game after the Christmas break is Jan. 11 as they host J.Z. George.
