The Lady Bulldogs improved their record to 14-5 overall and 3-1 in Region 5-1A play last week with blowout wins over Ethel, West Lowndes and Coldwater.
In last Tuesday night’s 82-15 Region 5-1A win over the Ethel Lady Tigers the Bulldogs scored 31 first quarter points and never looked back, taking a 57-9 lead into the intermission. The Bulldogs cruised in the third and fourth quarter, holding the Lady Tigers to just six points.
The leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Santija Rockett with seven points and three rebounds; Seneca Evans with three points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals; Ke’Mara Atterberry with 13 points, six boards, two assists and six rebounds; Zykeria Lewis with eight points, three rebounds and three steals; Haley Perteet with six boards, one assist and one steal; Jakyra Young with 23 points, four boards, four assists and five steals and Miracle Phillips with 12 points, two rebounds and one steal.
On Friday night the West Lowndes Lady Panthers played McAdams a little closer than its previous opponent, but still lost the contest in blowout fashion 65-40. The Lady Bulldogs led the contest 15-6 after one quarter of play and 32-15 at the half. A big 23-point outburst in the third quarter gave the Lady Bulldogs a 55-27 lead heading into the game’s final stanza, giving McAdams the easy win.
The leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Evans with 15 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and six steals; Atterberry with eight boards, three assists and three steals; Lewis with seven points, 10 boards and two steals; Young with 21 points, eight boards, two assists and five steals and Kneisha Erving with 10 points and nine rebounds.
On Saturday, the Lady Bulldogs thumped the Coldwater Lady Cougars 91-11 on the road. McAdams took a 38-0 first quarter lead and never looked back, leading 49-7 at the half.
The leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Evans with 13 points, 11 boards and two steals; Kiara Brown with 12 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals; Atterberry with nine points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals; Lewis with 14 points and eight boards; Young with eight points, two boards, two assists and two steals; Phillips with four assists and 11 steals and Irving with six rebounds.
The Lady Bulldogs played on the road at Montgomery County on Tuesday night and will host French Camp at 6 p.m. on Friday night.
