McAdams had six winners at the 5-1A track meet last week at the Winona track.
In the boys meet, Kristopher Brown won the 100 with a time of 11.36 and 200 in 23.87, Querrion Gadson the high jump at 5-6 and Percy Lewis the shot put with a throw of 46-2. Gadson was also fourth in the long jump.
Girls winners were Ma’Keria Griffin in the 200 (30.59) and Cavian Bolton in the long jump at 13 feet and half an inch. Griffin also took third in the 100 and Bolton was second in the high jump.
McAdams finished second in boys meet and fourth for the girls. For boys, Durant won with 98 points followed by McAdams with 79, French Camp with 74, Montgomery County with 55 and Ethel with 13. For girls, it was French Camp winning with 83 points, followed closely by Durant with 79, Ethel 60 McAdams 55 and Montgomery County 13.
The top four in each event qualified for the region meet Thursday at Ridgeland High School, along with qualifiers from District 6.
Other McAdams boys who qualified were Henry Boatman, fourth in the 100 and 200; Dankell Johnson, third the 400 and the triple jump; Tydarious Williams, fourth in the 400; Jakeem Greer, third in the 110 hurdles; Mc’Kyle Riley, third in the 200 and fourth in the 110 hurdles; John Bayne, third in the high jump; Malik Roby, second in the triple jump; the 400 relay team with a third place finish; the 800 relay team in second.
Other girls who qualified: Aaliyah Lusk, fourth in the 100 and long jump; Kiara Brown, third in the 100 hurdles; and high jump; Ke’mara Atterberry, fourth in the 300 hurdles; Haley Perfeet, fourth in the shot put; the 400 and 800 relay teams, both second.
