McAdams sophomore Kristopher Brown won the 100 meter and the 200 meter at the MHSAA Region 3-1A boys track meet Saturday at Ridgeland High School. He had times of 11.38 for the 100 and 24.24 for the 200.
McAdams had two other winners. Querrion Gadson cleared the bar at 5-10 in the high jump and Percy Lewis took honors the shot put with a throw of 44 feet-one quarter inch.
The top four in each event qualified for the South State meet Saturday at Madison Central High School.
Jakeem Greer in the 110 hurdles, John Bayne in the high jump, Dankell Johnson in the triple jump and the 400 and 800 relay teams all finished third.
Brown ran the opening leg on both relay teams.
For McAdams girls, Ma’Keria Griffin was third in the 200, Cavian Bolton third in the high jump, Aaliyah Lusk fourth in the high jump, Haley Perteet fourth in the shot put and the 800 relay team finished fourth.
