Both Ethel boys and girls basketball teams were off this week for Thanksgiving break.
The Tigers (0-2) and the Lady Tigers (0-4) will play on Friday in the Sebastopol Tournament.
Both teams received a first round bye and both teams will play the winner of the Newton County-Union game on Thursday. The girls game will be at 4 p.m. and the boys game will follow at 5:30 p.m.
Regardless all teams will play on Saturday. The winner of the girls will play at 5 p.m. and the boys game at 6:30 p.m. The loser of the girls game will play at 11 a.m. and the boys game at 12:30 p.m.
Other teams participating are Newton County, Union, Sebastopol, Noxapater and Madison St. Joe.
Both boys coach Mitchell McCurry and girls coach Corey Parish said the teams are young and still learning and getting better.
