Both the Ethel boys and girls swept their two basketball games this past week. Now the Tigers and Lady Tigers are set to host a tournament that features Nanih Waiya, Noxapater and Sebastopol. There will be four games each day on both Thursday and Friday.
On Thursday, Nanih Waiya will play Sebastopol in both boys and girls in the first round of the tournament with the girls game starting at 4 p.m. and boys game following at 5:30 p.m. Ethel will face Noxapater in both boys and girls with the girls game starting at 7 p.m. and the boys game following at 8:30 p.m.
On Friday the loser of the Nanih Waiya-Sebastopol girls game will face the loser of the Ethel-Noxapater game at 4 p.m. with the loser of the of the Nanih Waiya-Sebastopol boys game and Ethel-Noxapater boys game will follow at 5:30 p.m. The girls championship will follow at 7 p.m. with the Nanih Waiya-Sebastopol winner facing the Ethel-Noxapater winner and the boys the championship will follow at 8:30 p.m.

D’Ayres Merritt would pour in a game-high 25 points along with pulling down seven rebounds and had six assists to lead the Tigers over the Eagles this past Tuesday night.
Daquannay Dotson added 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds for Ethel, Sacarrio Merritt had 16 points, seven rebounds and dished out six assists for the Tigers.

Daquannay Dotson would have a game-high 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Tigers past the Jaguars this past Friday night.
Damion Hill added 10 points for Ethel, while Akeem Erving and Sacarrio Merritt chipped in nine points and Izik Stewart had eight points for the Tigers (3-4).

Akilah Erving would have a double-double pouring in a game-high 24 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as the Lady Tigers edged the Lady Eagles this past Tuesday night.
Dejah Merritt added 13 points and had seven steals for Ethel, while Chiquita Merritt had nine points with seven rebounds for the Lady Tigers.

Akilah Erving would have a game-high 26 points along with nine rebounds as the Lady Tigers raced past the Lady Jaguars.
