Daquannay Dotson had a huge game in the finals of the Ethel Tournament to lead the host Tigers to a 68-54 win and the championship.
On the girls side of the bracket, Ethel rolled to an easy first-round win before falling in overtime to Sebastopol. Ethel was set to visit Lake on Tuesday before paying a visit to French Camp on Friday.

Noxapater 34
D’Ayres Merritt had a game-high 22 points along with nine rebounds to lead Ethel past Noxapater in an all-Tiger matchup in the first round of the Ethel Tournament on Thursday night.
Daquannay Dotson added 12 points for the Tigers, while D’Vontrae Felton chipped in 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Ethel.

Dotson poured in a game-high 30 points, pulled down five rebounds and had four steals to lead the Tigers past the Bobcats to win the Ethel Tournament championship on Friday night.
D’Ayres Merritt added 20 points, eight rebounds, nine assists and six steals for Ethel, while Akeem Erving chipped in seven points and had seven rebounds for the Tigers (5-4).

Akilah Erving had a game-high 23 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and five steals as Ethel raced past Noxapater in an all Lady Tiger matchup on Thursday night.
Takia Miller added six points, five rebounds along with four steals for Ethel, while Dejah Merritt chipped in six points for the Lady Tigers.

Akilah Erving would have a double-double to lead Ethel, but it was not enough as the Lady Tigers fell to the Lady Bobcats in overtime in the Ethel Tournament championship game on Friday night.
Erving would have 13 points, 10 rebounds and five steals to lead the Lady Tigers.
Chiquita Merritt added 12 points along with nine rebounds, while Takia Miller and Dejah Merritt had eight points each for the Lady Tigers (6-3).
