There is a lot going on in Ethel sports this week.
The Tigers are set to host the MHSAA Class 1A South State powerlifting meet this Saturday and there is plenty of baseball and softball action on tap as well.
Ethel baseball went 1-2 in the Spring Break Tournament held at Smith-Wills Stadium in Jackson.
The Tigers (6-2) have five games scheduled this week with Greenville St. Joe at home on Monday, at J.Z. George Tuesday, a home doubleheader against McAdams on Friday to open Region 5-1A play and play at Greenville St. Joe on Saturday.
Ethel Softball (1-3) was set to Noxapater to open Region 5-1A play on Monday, at Nanih Waiya on Tuesday, hosts Ray Brooks for a doubleheader on Thursday and at Union on Friday.

Cyrus Rone, Alex Schuster and Hayden Graves all had two hits each, but the Rebels were able to get past the Tigers. Schuster also had two stolen bases.
Leake Academy 3, Ethel 1
The Tigers only run came in the first inning, while the Rebels scored two runs in the fourth to get past Ethel.
Schuster and Graves had two hits each for Ethel, while Reeves Threadgill had the only RBI.
Ethel 8, Oak Hill Academy 2
Schuster, Tanner Reeves, Conner Clark and Cameron McCuller all had two hits a piece as the Tigers ran past the Raiders.
Schuster had a home run and five RBIs to lead the offensive attack. McCuller got the win on the mound for Ethel.
