The Central Holmes Lady Trojans are getting hot at the right time.
The Lady Trojans won two more contests last week, pushing their winning streak to 10 games as they beat Columbus Christian 53-19 and Marshall Academy 63-36.
The Trojans dropped two games last week, falling 57-56 to Columbus Christian and 71-39 to Marshall.
Central Holmes has three games scheduled this week as it will travel to Carroll on Tuesday in a key district game for both squads. On Thursday, Central Holmes will host Washington and will then end the week with Oak Hill at home on Friday.
The Lady Trojans picked up two more wins this week as they beat Columbus Christian and Marshall.
Against Columbus Christian, the Lady Trojans picked up a 53-19 win as Makaylee Polk had 18 points. In the junior varsity game, the Lady Trojans lost 41-20 as Mackenzie Ward had nine points.
Against Marshall, the Lady Trojans picked up a big district win as they beat the Lady Patriots 73-36. Cameron Martin had a huge game as she scored 27 points while Breann Bell had 14 points. In the junior varsity game, the Lady Trojans lost 31-8.
The Central Holmes boys continued to struggle on the hardwood as they dropped two games last week.
The Trojans lost a heartbreaker to Columbus Christian, falling 57-56. Wykeece Johnson led the Trojans with 23 points while Noah Burton had 11 points.
Against Marshall, the Trojans took a hard loss as they fell 71-39 in district play. Lawrence Wiley led the Trojans with 11 points while Lake Melton had eight points.
