McAdams scrambles to put together football schedule

To say that McAdams football coach Jim Risen has had difficulty putting together a football schedule would be an understatement.

Risen has had to add five new opponents this season due to schools closing or consolidating and he could possibly lose another game if Montgomery County is consolidated with Winona.

McCrory named new Ethel head football coach

The Attala County school board officially hired Dave McCrory last week as the new head football coach at Ethel.

McCrory comes to Ethel after serving as the offensive line coach at Northeast Jones. McCrory said he was not looking to leave Northeast Jones, but the opportunity just presented itself.

McAdams splits spring football scrimmages

The McAdams football team wrapped up spring football practices last week with a pair of two-quarter scrimmages at Mount Olive.

The Bulldogs, who went 5-6 last year and made the playoffs, split a pair of game, losing 12-6 go McLauren and then beating host Mount Olive 14-6.
