The Central Holmes girls won two out of three games last week.
The Lady Trojans got district wins as they beat Greenville St. Joseph 58-33 and Indianola 45-13 while falling 48-21 to Winona Christian.
The Trojans lost all three games last week, falling 82-62 to St. Joseph, 43-36 to Indianola and 66-34 to Winona Christian.
Central Holmes has two games scheduled this week a they are set to host Winona Christian for senior night on Monday and finish the regular season at Kirk Academy on Tuesday. Next week, both teams will play in the district tournament at St. Joseph.
Central Holmes girls 58, Greenville St. Joseph 33
The Lady Trojans started fast and finished strong as they took a 25-point win over the Lady Irish on Saturday.
Central Holmes jumped out to a 14-2 lead in the first period and led 24-12 at the half. The Lady Trojans continued to extend their lead in the second half, outscoring the Lady Irish 18-13 in the third and 16-8 in the fourth.
Aubrey Carr and Allie McBride led Central Holmes with 12 points apiece while Kenzie Cochran had 10 points.
In the junior high game, Central Holmes beat St. Joseph 53-1 as Allie McBride had 15 points and Zoey Jones added 10 points.
Greenville St. Joseph 82, Central Holms 62
The Irish outscored the Trojans in three of the four period and took a 20-point win.
St. Joe started fast and led 22-8 at the end of the first while Central Holmes outscored the Irish 14-10 in the second to cut the lead to 32-22 at the half. St. Joe gradually pulled away in the second half, outscoring Central Holmes 24-16 in the third and 26-24 in the fourth.
John Word led Central Holmes with 17 points while Bryce Hester had 16 points.
Central Holmes girls 45, Indianola 13
The Lady Trojans held the Lady Colonels scoreless in the first period and cruised to a 32-point win on Thursday.
Central Holmes dominated the first period, outscoring Indianola 19-0 in the first and 22-8 in the second to lead 41-8 at the half. Indianola took the third 5-4 while both teams went scoreless in the fourth.
Mackenzie Ward led Central Holmes with 11 points while Natalie Winstead had 10 points.
In the junior high game, Central Holmes won 29-14 as Hallie Fancher scored 15 points.
Indianola boys 43, Central Holmes 36
The Colonels took a big lead in the first half and held on to take a seven-point win over the Trojans.
Indianola outscored Central Holmes 10-4 in both the first and second periods and led 20-8 at the half. Central Holmes fought back in the second half and outscored Indianola 28-23 for the final margin.
John Ward and Lamarian Buchanan each had nine points apiece whole Byrce Hester and John Word each had seven points apiece.
