It all comes together for Lady Whippets in 12-0 win over Germantown

Sometimes it all comes together – hitting pitching and defense.
Such was the case for Kosciusko when the Lady Whippets played a softball game at Germantown Monday. Germantown is a strong 6A team that defeated Kosciusko 8-6 in the season opener, has a win over Northwest Rankin, the state's top ranked team, and won Region 5-6A.

McAdams senior enjoys playing 4 sports

McAdams senior Shawnessey Martin is a four-sport athlete — volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, powerlifting which overlaps winter and spring seasons. In past years, she ran track in the spring, but this year she is a pitcher for the softball team.

Lady Bulldogs coach is remaining optimistic

The McAdams softball season has not gone the way coach Kris Upchurch hoped it would, but he remains optimistic.
“Were not where we wanted to be, that’s for sure,” he said. “But I would call it a successful season. The girls have learned a lot and I think moving forward they are going to get better.”

Lady Whippets continue strong second half of season

Kosciusko softball continued its strong play the second half of the season with two victories over Choctaw Central, 10-0 and 9-3, improving to 8-0 in Region 4-4A.
“We're definitely playing a lot better since we have gotten close to being healthy,” said coach Tony Terry.
