The Ethel Lady Tigers had a pair of tough-luck losses last week on the softball diamond.
The Lady Tigers dropped a pair of 5-4 contests last week, losing to Choctaw County on Monday and Sebastopol on Tuesday.
Ethel falls to 7-7 on the season.
Choctaw County 5, Ethel 4
The Lady Tigers built an early lead but the Lady Chargers came fro behind to take a one-run win on Monday.
Ethel scored one in the first, two in the second and one in the third and led 4-0. Choctaw then scored three in the third and two in the fifth.
Ethel had eight hits in the contest, led by Karli Fortenberry who was 2-for-4. Macee Session also doubled and drove in a run. Elena White, Emily Mitchell, Meredith Moody and Brook Mitchell also singled for Ethel.
White started on the mound and pitched all six innings and gave up five runs with only one earned, going up five hits while striking out three.
Sebastopol 5, Ethel 4
The Lady Bobcats got a big walk-off single from Annagrace Stewart to take a one run win over the Tigers on Tuesday.
Sebastopol scored one in the second while both teams scored three in the fifth as the Lady Bobcats led 4-3. Ethel scored one in the top of the seventh to tie the game while Sebastopol scored one in the bottom of the frame to take the win.
Ethel had just six hits in the contest. Emily Mitchell doubled and scored while Karli Fortenberry doubled and drove in a run. Meredith Moudy also doubled while Hadlee Fancher singles and drove in two runs.
Brooke Mitchell pitched 6 1/3 innings and gave up five runs on 14 hits and walked just one.
