Lady Whippets continue region championship run

With Kosciusko’s 20-0 win against Leake Central last Thursday, the Lady Whippets claimed their seventh-consecutive Region 4-4A title. The win not only clinched a first-round bye in the playoffs, but it also capped a week in which Kosciusko swept Leake Central 35-5 in two games.

Gibson having strong season for Kosy golf squad

Kosciusko’s golf team participated in two tournaments last week as the Whippets hosted a tournament last Tuesday and traveled to Louisville last Friday ahead of the Region tournament in two weeks.

Jacob Gibson has earned medals in four of the Whippets’ six tournaments this year and shot a 78 on April 1 to finish as runner-up.
