McAdams fell to 1-5 and 1-1 in Region 2-1A with a 38-8 loss to West Bolivar.
“It was a little bit more of the same. We're a young team with low numbers,” said coach Roy Rigsby. “I know the score doesn't indicate it, but we are improving. We have some key injuries. When you have low numbers and you have injuries, it's difficult.”
One of the injuries was to Ed Stewart, the Bulldogs' top offensive threat with 361 rushing yards the previous three games. He suffered a toe injury when stepped on during the second quarter and sat out the rest of the game.
McAdams' touchdown came on a four-yard run by Arthur Massey in the third quarter, followed by a pass from Jay Harmon to Jamar Teague for the two-point conversion.
The Bulldogs will continue 2-1A play Friday with a road game against South Delta. “They're a well-coached football team, very aggressive,” Rigsby said. “We have our work cut out for us.”
