Ethel baseball would win both of its games against Noxapater in Region 5-1A play. The Tigers (14-2, 4-0 Region 5-1A) have a huge region matchup this week against the two-time defending Class 1A state champion Nanih Waiya Warriors on Tuesday at Nanih Waiya and at Ethel on Friday. On Saturday Ethel hosts Sebastopol.

Ethel picks up five wins to improve to 11-2

The Ethel baseball team went 5-0 last week, while the Ethel softball team went 2-1.

This week the Tigers (11-2, 2-0 Region 5-1A) will face Noxapater in a Region 5-1A contest. Ethel will play the Tigers at home on Tuesday and at Noxapater on Friday.

Full week slated for Lady Tigers

The Lady Tigers (3-4, 2-0 Region 5-1A) of Ethel High School were set to host French Camp in a Region 5-1A fast-pitch softball matchup on Monday and then travel to Tupelo on Tuesday for a doubleheader. Ethel is set to host Bogue Chitto on Friday and will play two games at Union on Saturday.

Busy sports week on tap for Ethel Tigers

There is a lot going on in Ethel sports this week.

The Tigers are set to host the MHSAA Class 1A South State powerlifting meet this Saturday and there is plenty of baseball and softball action on tap as well.
Ethel baseball went 1-2 in the Spring Break Tournament held at Smith-Wills Stadium in Jackson.
