Ida Vivian Phillips, 83, of Hollandale, Mississippi, passed away on January 15, 2026, at her residence. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Southside Baptist Church, 137 West Reed Road, Greenville, Mississippi 38701. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., at Southside Baptist Church. Rev. Frank Terry and Rev. Jon Reed McClendon will officiate the services.

MSDH Raising Awareness of Human Trafficking
Jackson, Miss.- More than 300 victims of human trafficking were reported in Mississippi in 2024, and most involved sex trafficking. During January, recognized nationally as Human Trafficking Awareness Month, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) joins partners across the state in raising awareness, promoting prevention efforts and highlighting resources. Sunday, January 11, is recognized as National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
