The Scotties Tournament of Hearts, often simply called the Scotties, is the Canadian Women᧙s Curling Championship. Organized by Curling Canada, it is one of the most celebrated curling events of the year. The champions earn the right to play as Team Canada at the following year᧙s world championships.
With two-time defending Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion Rachel Homan representing Canada at the Olympics, the field is wide open at this year's national women's curling championship.
The competition runs Jan. 23-Feb. 1 in Mississauga, Ont.
