The Ethel boys basketball team picked up a pair of district wins last week while the girls squad split a pair of games.
The Tigers beat rival French Camp 64-42 and then outscored Noxapater 81-61.
The Lady Tigers beat French Camp 42-26 but lost 31-27 to Noxapater.
Ethel was scheduled to finish out the regular season this week as they host Leake County on Tuesday and travel to rival McAdams on Friday.
Ethel boys 64, French Camp 42
The Tigers dominated the first half and cruised to a 22-point win over the Panthers.
Ethel outscored French Camp 20-9 in the first and 22-9 in the second and led 42-18 at the half. French Camp took the third period 11-8 while Ethel took the fourth 14-13 for the final margin.
Ben Wright had 11 points for French Camp while Ethan Wright and Gavin Fox each had nine points apiece.
Jaylin Estes, Anton Clark and Davion Hunt each had 10 points apiece. Bobo Hubbert also had nine points
Ethel girls 42, French Camp 26
The Lady Panthers started fast but couldn’t hold on as the Lady Tigers took a 16-point win.
The Lady Panthers grabbed an early led and led 11-8 at the end of the first before the Lady Tigers outscored them 9-3 in the second and led 17-14 at the half. Ethel pulled away in the second half and outscored French Camp 9-5 in the third and 16-7 in the fourth.
Brianna Page led French Camp with nine points.
Ethel boys 81, Noxapater 61
Ethel outscored Noxapater in every period and took a 20-point win on Friday.
Ethel jumped out to a 28-14 lead and then outscored Noxapater 19-16 to lead 47-30 at the half. In a tight second half, Ethel outscored Noxapater 14-13 in the third and 19-18 in the fourth.
Anton Clark and Clifford Merritt led Ethel with 20 points apiece while Jake Newman had 18 point and Davion Hunt added 14 points.
Noxapater girls 31, Ethel 27
Noxapater built an early lead and held on to take a four-point win over Ethel on Friday.
Noxapater jumped out to a 10-3 lead in first period and led 12-6 at the half. Noxapater then outscored Ethel 13-9 in the third to lead 25-15 going to the fourth. Ethel then outscored Noxapater 12-6 in the fourth for the final margin.
Z. Clark led Ethel with 10 points.
