STEAMing through science lessons

STEAM, a science program held last Saturday by the Kosciusko School District allowed children in grades one through three to get hands-on experience working with five different science concepts. Placed in small groups, the children spent about 40 minutes exploring each concept in a different classroom. Areas examined were as follows:

County schools vote for raises, bonuses and shooting program

At its most recent meeting, the Attala County School Board voted to increase pay scales for school and central office secretaries, as well as bus drivers. They also approved bonuses for teachers and administrators and voted to offer the Mississippi Scholastic Shooting program in the county schools.
