The McAdams Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will begin Region 5-1A Tournament play in Coffeeville on Thursday against the Ethel/French Camp winner and the Montgomery County/Ethel winner respectively. The Lady Bulldogs defeated French Camp 78-32 last Tuesday and fell to the Holmes Central Lady Jaguars by a score of 52-48 on Friday, moving their overall record to 17-6 while the Bulldogs improved to 11-13 with their 62-46 win over French Camp. No stats were available for the Bulldogs contest with Holmes Central.
In last Tuesday night’s win over French Camp, the Lady Bulldogs took a commanding 32-5 first quarter lead and lead 55-13 at the half. McAdams would cruise to a 78-32 win over the Lady Panthers while being led by Santisjah Rockett with seven points; Ke’Mara Atterberry with 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals; Jakyra Young with eight points, two rebounds, five assists and two rebounds; Kiara Brown with five points, two assists and two steals; Kneisha Erving with 13 points, nine rebounds and two steals and Cavian Bolton with seven points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal.
On Friday night, the Lady Bulldogs fell to the Holmes Central Lady Jaguars by a score of 52-48. The Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a quick 12-4 lead after one quarter of play and would lead 20-18 at the half. The Lady Jaguars fought back to tie the contest at 41-41 to end regulation and outscored the
Lady Bulldogs 11-7 in overtime to take the win. The leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Atterberry with 11 points, four rebounds and two assists; Iyanla Malone with six points; Young with 11 points; Erving with 14 points and 10 rebounds and Tayler Stewart with 11 rebounds.
