The Kosciusko Whippets (17-7, 4-4) and Lady Whippets (15-10, 5-4) both went 1-1 on the week with the Whippets defeating Houston 70-50 and falling to Noxubee 50-49 while the Lady Whippets lost to Houston 50-36 and defeated Noxubee 54-25.
In the Whippets 70-50 win over Houston the leaders were Johnny Forrest with 19 points and three steals; Calvin Banks with 12 points and four steals; Stefan Harmon with 15 points and 12 rebounds and Jaquan Williams with 13 points and three boards.
The leader for the Lady Whippets in their 50-36 loss was Feria Mays with 12 points, 10 boards and four assists.
The Whippets were led by Forrest with 12 points, five boards and four assists; Banks with 13 points and Harmon with 11 in their 50-49 loss to Noxubee while Mays led the way for the Lady Whippets in their 56-27 win with 10 points, 10 rebounds and five assists; Katie Mitchell with 10 points and Alexis McBride with 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
Kosciusko traveled to Leake Central on Tuesday night and will host Germantown on Friday night at 6 p.m. for their final regular season game. The Whippets will host the Region 4-4A Tourney beginning on Monday.
