The Kosciusko Whippets and Lady Whippets traveled to Noxubee County last Friday night with both falling to the Tigers by scores of 72-65 and 65-24 respectively. The Whippets fell to 10-5 overall while the Lady Whippets dropped to 3-12.
In the Whippets’ contest against Noxubee County the leaders were Ocorya Forest with 23 points and two steals; Antonio Harmon with 16 points, eight rebounds and three steals; Calvin Banks with 12 points, four rebounds, two steals and two assists and Terry Skinner with eight points and four assists.
In the Lady Whippets contest with Noxubee the leaders were Katie Mitchell with eight points and two steals and Mahogany Perteet with five points, three steals and two assists.
Kosciusko hosted Louisville on Tuesday night and will travel to Carthage on Thursday night for a 6 p.m. tip before returning home on Friday to host New Hope at 6 p.m. as well.
The remaining schedule finds the Whippets hosting Choctaw County at 6 p.m. on January 30 and Noxubee County on February 2. They will then hit the road to take on Greenwood February 3, before returning home to face Leake Central on February 6, and Eupora on February 9. The Whippets will close out the regular season on February 10, with a trip to Germantown with a 6 p.m. tip.
