Kosciusko’s girls basketball program entered the holiday break on the heels of a 59-29 win against Eupora on Nov. 22. The win improved the Lady Whippets to 5-2 this season and gives them momentum ahead of region play.
The Lady Whippets own wins against Canton, Leake County, Noxapater and J.Z. George. Their losses have come against Germantown and Greenwood. They’ve outscored opponents 379-292 this year.
Kosciusko returns to play on Tuesday when it hosts J.Z. George. The Lady Whippets will conclude their first week back with a road contest at McAdams on Friday.
BOYS
Similar to their Lady Whippet counterparts, the Kosciusko boys also went into the holiday break with a resounding win against Eupora, as they earned a 72-24 win on Nov. 22. The Whippets sit a 5-2 on the year.
Kosciusko has recorded wins against Germantown, Leake County, Noxapater and J.Z. George. Their losses came against Canton and Greenwood. The Whippets have scored 427 points this year, while their opponents have only tallied 283 points.
