Kosciusko junior Josie Meggs has been chosen for the North team in the 4A/5A/6A All-Star Fast Pitch Softball games at Jones Junior College in Ellisville. The first game will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 31 and the second game the next day at noon.
Meggs played shortstop for Kosciusko teams that won the 4A state championship last year and lost to Tishomingo County in the North state final this year. The Lady Whippets were 31-4 last year and 31-3 this year.
Meggs batted .366 this year with three doubles, four triples one homer, 34 RBIs and 40 runs scored. As a sophomore, she batted .391.
The all-star games are for juniors. The 1A/2A/3A games are scheduled for 5 p.m. May 31 and 10 a.m. June 1.
