The Ethel softball team split three of six games last week. The Lady Tigers (6-7, 3-0 Region 5-1A) travel to Noxapater on Monday in a region game, will host Nanih Waiya on Thursday in another region matchup and will travel to Smithville on Friday.
Ethel 17, French Camp 1
Emily Mitchell and Sidney Rone had four hits each has the Lady Tigers ran past the Lady Panthers in a Region 5-1A matchup. Mitchell had three RBI's and five stolen bases, while Breanna Blaine had three hits and two RBI's.
Tupelo 12-15, Ethel 0-0
The Lady Tigers were shut out in a doubleheader to the Lady Wave. Ethel did not record a hit in Game 1, while Emily Mitchell had the only hit in Game 2. Tupelo hit four home runs in Game 1.
Ethel 3, Bogue Chitto 2
Madison Odom had a double and Jessica Mitchell got the win on the mound tossing a complete game giving up four hits, one earned run and struck out four as the Lady Tigers edged the Lady Bobcats.
SE Lauderdale 5, Ethel 4
Jessica Mitchell, Emily Mitchell and Madison Odom all had two hits, but SE Lauderdale came away with the win on Saturday. Kambrie Hodges took the loss on the mound for Ethel tossing a complete game gave two earned runs, walked two and struck out five.
Ethel 2, Sebastopol 1
Emily Mitchell had two hits, while Jessica Mitchell tossed a complete game giving up one earned run with eight strikeouts as the Lady Tigers got past the Lady Bobcats.
