The French Camp Academy baseball team rebounded from tough losses to Eupora and Calhoun City with a 12-2 victory over Winona, bringing the record to 3-2.
“Seth Box pitched a great game,” FCA coach Nathan Wright said of the win over Winona. Holman Edwards finished up for a save. John Weeks led the offense with two singles and a double.
The Panthers lost to Eupora 5-3 despite outhitting the Eagles 6-3. Both teams scored three runs in the third, but Eupora won it with to in the fifth.
John Weeks had two RBIs for French Camp. Phillip Lucas took the loss in relief.
The Panthers were edged by Calhoun City 2-1. An RBI single by Clayton Leathers in the fourth gave French Camp a 1-0 lead. Calhoun City won it by scoring twice off Weeks in the fifth. Weeks finished with 10 strikeouts while allowing three hits in taking the loss.
French Camp will be at East Webster Saturday.
